Father’s Day Anniversary
Well, here we are, this blog has been around for a full year 🎉 I really wasn’t ready to start this when I did, & still haven’t committed the time I want to it & to the YouTube channel, but I’m so glad to have started it. I really hate to talk about doing something & have the idea collect dust on a shelf, so I had to force myself to dive right in. So much has changed in my family & I’s life during that time & this next year promises more big changes. With our move to a beauti

Weekly Recap #22: "Just keep swimming"
The best way to describe the feelings I've been feeling the past month can basically be summed up in one word, drowning. My wife & I knew this would be one of the busiest times of the year for us with the end of the teaching school year getting close & testing that happens every year, yet we decided to throw selling our home in the mix 🤦🏻♂️ As insane as the process has felt, we are very happy that we decided to move forward with the sale, & it seems like all of our prayers

Weekly Recap #13: "Looking back, but moving forward"
The end of 2017 is here! The past few months since I started this blog have been pretty hectic. I felt like I had gotten into a groove with scheduling weekly meetings, writing blog posts, booking clients and routinely meeting up with mentors, but somewhere around the end of September just seemed to pick up speed & never slowed down. My wife & I had a good little family meeting last night to plan some of our scheduling goals for 2018, and I'm feeling really excited to jump int

Weekly Recap #3: "Big Smiles, Big Cats & Bikes"
So this last week was quite an eventful one, & because of that, this post will involve quite a few photos & will also be separated into little categories. Highlight #1: "Cougar Crossing"
If I had to pick one hobby that I like the most, it would have to be riding bikes. While some may consider my job a hobby, photography & video are in fact what I do for work, so they don't count. So, back to this favorite hobby of mine...
Around 90% of Mondays in a year you'll catch me on

Weekly Recap #2: "Favorite Cameras - July2017"
Well, still working on a new logo so I can start making more videos & branding social media accounts. I think my buddy Todd & I are nearly there with a design, so hopefully by the end of this next week I'll have something to share.
A lot of this past week consisted of regular day-to-day stuff, but there were definitely a few highlights. On the family end, my wife, Sara, wrapped up her last week of teaching... hooray for summer! We also made some progress on our upright pian

Weekly Recap #1: "Rock & Runnin"
Wow, definitely just wrapped up a pretty hectic week since my first post on Father's day. After getting between 2-3 hours of sleep the night before, I woke up to a beautiful morning at church with my family, followed by a simple lunch of pasta with the kids, a very much needed afternoon nap, & my wife probably made the BEST chicken adobo I've ever had in my life... man, craving some right now just thinking about it.
The day wouldn't be complete, however, without one of my k

Happy Father's Day
Today is the day I start a new blog. A new chapter in the life of this "Creative Dad." What better day but Father's day, to start a blog about navigating the life of being a traveling freelance artist & a father? And in typical creative fashion I was up all night trying to meet my own deadline & I'm typing this post on two hours of sleep :)
So whats this blog & vlog all about you may ask? Well, this is a project that has been weighing heavy on my heart for the last few year
